Wild Horses was ranked 334 in Rolling Stone Magazine’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time – in 2004. It was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and recorded by the Rolling Stones. Wild Horses will be the first single Susan releases and it will be on her album to be released in November, which is #2 on Amazon today (behind a new release from Barbra Streisand). Mick Jagger thinks that Susan Boyle’s version of “Wild Horses” is better than the Rolling Stones original.

Paul Potts, 2007 Britain’s Got Talent winner, holds the 47th spot with his new album Passione, which has been in the top 100 for 55 days. His debut album, One Chance, is in the 61st spot and has been in the top 100 for an amazing 316 days.

Hopefully we will see Hollie Steel’s debut album within the next year.

Susan Boyle made a show-stopping comeback last night on the opening date of the Britain’s Got Talent tour.

Susan Boyle and Diversity both made the Britain’s Got Talent finals in the first semi-final. And Susan Boyle took second, singing a great rendition of I Dreamed A Dream again.

It was great result really. Susan Boyle is still going to have great opportunities and the deserving win for Diversity will help them. The show was tremendous with many great performances. Great jobs by Hollie, Aidan and Flawless and well as Stavros Flatley, in my opinion. And really great shows by all the participants.

Many of these performers are going to have opportunities to further their show business aspirations (Aidan Davis and the singers have great chances I think). It is my guess that the opportunity for singers and Julian Smith will be greater – I think they can, more easily, find a way in the marketplace. Which is one reason it is nice Diversity won. Flawless were also fantastic.

There are ten acts performing on tonight’s show, and we’ve just watched every single one of them going through dress rehearsal. Aside from a few hairstyles-in-progress and missed notes due to saving vocal chords, all is looking good. Yes, Susan Boyle is here. She’s said hello and is giving out hugs and looked happy with her song, saying she “really enjoyed it”. Yes, Hollie Steele is here. Her voice was clear as a bell in rehearsal, there was no sign of a wibble and she knows that here mum is off camera waiting for her to run into her arms, no matter what. And YES, Stavros Flatley are here. The Edmonton boys have been in heavy training for tonight’s show and have managed to pull all sorts of muscles – but, they assure us, “It’s nothing some special cream won’t sort out. We’re having the time of our lives!”

Susan Boyle has gone through to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent today. See above, for the video of her performance today signing Memories, from Cats. They don’t announce when Hollie’s semi-final performance day will be, so we have to watch and see if Hollie will join Susan in the finals over the next few days. Diversity (dancers) were the other performers to make the finals today. A great show today. And we have another week of shows to look forward too (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Then the Finals on Saturday May 30th.

Other performers in the same semi final with Hollie Steel’s are talented dancer Aidan Davis (who will likely go to the finals) and countertenor Greg Pritchard.

And Piers Morgan want those who are being hard on Susan to leave her alone. Looks like Piers has had enough of all this Susan this, Susan that thing and wants her to have a fair fight and competition. Piers earlier commented that Susan Boyle cannot win Britain’s Got Talent.

And Hollie Steel is spreading her popularity to the US and she seem to have taken the US by storm.

And Hollie Steel has record deal Ambitions and wants to appear on west end stage. That is something she will get whether she wins BGT or not.

“I like Susan but I think I can win this,” said Hollie. “I think she is a good singer but I think I could do better.”

Susan Boyle is undoubtedly more popular on youtube, but after her makeover, we are not too sure if she will still have that initial appeal. She sure can sing, and she was not a hidden talent either, with that old recording which resurfaced after she shot to youtube fame. Hollie is yet to touch a million views on youtube as I write this, and by this time the weekend that Susan Boyle sang, it had touched some 25 million views.

But Hollie is a great singer and she can become a great singer with training and the right promotion. Whether she wins Britain’s Got Talent, we can’t tell yet, but she sure has a great future ahead. The last series saw Faryl Smith, cut a £2 million record deal.

Hollie Steel was born in 1998 and her name is sometimes misspelled as Holly Steel. She is from Accrington Lancashire, England. Both her parents Nina Steel, 37, and Jason Steel 38 are NHS audiologists, and she has a brother Joshua Steel, 15.

We are all hoping that she will win Britain’s Got Talent and will beat Susan Boyle.

The success of Susan Boyle is the success of youtube (and other video sites like metacafe) as a medium, and without youtube Susan Boyle wouldn’t have become the overnight sensation that she became.

Susan Boyle is a freakish looking 47 year old spinster who admits that she’s never even been kissed, and when she came on stage the judges looked at her with indifference and a lackadaisical attitude thinking they have to endure another audition until she opened her voice. Hair stood still on everyone’s skin, and the judges were stunned.

Amanda said a beautiful thing and she said it was a privileged to have listened to her. Such was her voice and the whole world stood up to listen to her.. The audience gave a standing ovation.

But let us she if she can beat out Hollie Steel.
