15 year old Charice Pempengco, from the Philippines, burst onto the singing scene last year on YouTube. Since then she has been quite busy including signing with her idol: Celine Dion Duet.
Charice Pempengco, at age 15, sings And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going on the Paul O’Grady Show, April, 2008 in the video above. Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco was born May 10, 1992 in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines.
In 2005, Pempengco joined ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star in the Philippines. Eliminated after her first performance, she was later called back as a wildcard contender and eventually became a finalist. Although she was a consistent top scorer in the final rounds, she finished in third place.
