Britain’s Got Talent star Hollie Steel returned to school this week where she was welcomed by rapturous applause from classmates.

Her mum Nina said: “She was excited about meeting all her friends again and when she arrived at school they were all cheering her name. It was really really nice for Hollie. We’re definitely getting better at giving interviews and I think Hollie’s really enjoying the attention she’s been getting since the show.”

Hollie, a member of Basics Theatre Group in Burnley and played the title role in their production of “Annie” in December, has said her dream would be to sing on the West End stage.

The talented youngster, who has been dancing since the age of three, stunned “Britain’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden and reduced Kelly Brook to tears with her performance to go through to the next round of the show
